Dropping without tilting
💡 Landing at a named POI means more loot but more players contesting it — landing at an unnamed landmark on the edge of the map is slower but almost guarantees you survive the first minute.
💡 Decide your drop spot before the bus takes off, not while you're already in the air — indecision mid-flight is how you end up landing awkwardly in the open with nothing around.
💡 POIs near the edge of the storm's first circle age quickly — great for fast rotation later, risky if the circle moves away from you.
💡 If you keep getting third-partied at hot drops, that's useful information, not bad luck — try a quieter POI for a few games and compare how far you get.
